I’ve been using a blue Norton microfiber towel for cleaning the mirrors in my home. I’ve had it awhile, and have washed it several times. In most cases it works fine, but I have one problem mirror that is always harder to clean than the rest. It may be the reflection from the light immediately above it, or something on the mirror itself, but I can see streaks, dust and almost a ‘film” along the top portion of the mirror after cleaning with the Norton cloth. I always have to go over that area several times, using more glass cleaner and trying different combinations of paper towels, other types of towels/cloths before it is visibly clean. These new glass cleaning cloths have solved that problem. I did have to clean the mirror twice, to get it crystal clear, but I did not have to resort to a repeated trial and error using paper towels/towels/other cloths. Time will tell how well the new cloth works after being washed, but new out of the box, it’s a winner.
I wanted these special microfiber towels to clean the glass on my cars when I do a full detail. Glass can be notoriously hard to clean. Even the inside of the glass will get an oily film due to the out gassing of the plastics in the car baking in hot temps. These towels make it a little easier.The textured surface makes it easier for the towel to grab surface contaminants. I wish the back of the towel had the same texturing. I actually have a harder time getting a streak free finish using the smooth back of the towel vs. the front textured surface.Pro Tip: remove the tag. These tags are made of nylon and nylon will scratch paint and plastics (not glass). You may only clean glass with this towel but often the edges of the towel will run against neighboring paint.I wish the towel was white instead of blue. With white it would be easier to see the dirty/clean condition of the surface.
