Let's Talk About the Pet Hair Remover

Pet hair can be stubborn, but the Viking Pet Hair Remover makes cleanup simple. Its ergonomic design pairs a grippy silicone shell with a rigid core for control. Two textures, nubs and ridges, help tackle light to heavy buildup. Sweep horizontally to lift hair, then vertically for a crisp, striped finish. The tapered rubber edge reaches into corners and tight spots where other tools cannot – giving your interior a thorough clean.

Easy to hold removes hair in a flash!

Works great, comfortable in your hand, visible results, each side removes hair quite well. My video shows brand new flannel sheets that I washed before using. I have a black dog that sleeps with me and these flannel sheets are a dog hair magnet. Awesome product works as advertised if you have a lot of dog hair this is something you need.

Excellent for pet owners who love a clean car

This thing is something I did not know I needed until now. I can’t believe I didn’t look for something like this before. I hate vacuuming the car precisely because of stubborn half woven hair. A few swipes with this bad boy, and it all comes up. Yes all. There are some difficult spots regardless of the tools you have. Like corners in the carpet of the foot well.

Still, this thing kicks butt. It is very light weight, easy to handle. The shape helps you get to stubborn areas. It simply rinses clean too. There is a lot to love about it, but almost no negatives. The price it great above all.
I highly recommend this tool.

Pet Hair Exorcist (a.k.a. Carpet Stripe Maker)

Dog hair: defeated. A whole flock of it lives in our house (four dogs), and this thing rakes it out like it owes rent. Then it leaves those satisfying “dealer-fresh” stripes so the carpet looks better than my life choices.

Tiny tool, big nope to embedded fur.

Makes Instagram-worthy vacuum lines with zero drama.

Doesn’t cost “boutique detailer” money.

If your seats and rugs look like a golden retriever exploded, this is the antidote.

okay for small surfaces but barely lift any pet hair

This pet hair removing cube advertised as diamond-shaped somehow makes it comfortable to hold and grip. However, it might only be useful for smaller areas like pillow cases, beddings or couch but definitely not for carpet or cars. It has different ridges and strips meant to lift pet's hair but so far it doesn't stick well and barely removes anything. We don't find it much effective but on the bright side, our cat likes it as a gentle brush, so that makes it somewhat useful.

A decent job at a good price

Anyone who has pups knows how hard it is to get dog hair out of upholstery.

We have a car dedicated to moving our boys around, and as such, a ton of hair has accumulated over many years.

Picked up this tool as a test to see how well it can pull up those pesky hairs, and, it does a decent job.

The tool is simple enough, small and light weight, but rugged and basic in design.

A few swipes and some elbow grease, and this thing loosens both hair and dirt handily.

It isn't magic, and it won't effortlessly rid you of animal hair. You are for sure going to have to scrub. But if you want a good tool for loosening up the bulk of the build up before getting in there with a vacuum, then I'd say this is a great item to have in your cleaning kit. For ten bucks, you can't go wrong!

Works well…gets most of the dog hair

This pet hair removal tool does a good job overall. It’s marketed for removing pet hair from car carpets, but I used it on a rug at home and it worked pretty well. It definitely pulled up a lot of embedded pet hair that vacuuming usually misses.

That said, it didn’t get everything, and it does require a fair amount of elbow grease, especially on thicker areas of the rug. With some effort and a few passes, the results are noticeable, just not perfect.

Overall, it’s a solid tool and works as advertised, just be prepared to put in a little work. Still a helpful reminder for pet owners dealing with stubborn hair.

Didn't keep hair together

I ordered this pet hair remover for cat hair on my living room furniture. I especially wanted to use it on a couch. It did move the hair around but the hair didn't gather up very easily. It took a lot of time to pick it all off and remove it. I tried using the remover on its different textured sides but it all worked the same for this application. It is easy to hold and might work differently inside a vehicle.

Best Pet Hair Remover I’ve Ever Tried

As a car detailer I have tried just about every type of pet hair removal tool out there. From a few bucks to over thirty bucks I have given them a good thorough testing. This is easily the best one I have tried and on top of that it’s only $9.99 (at the time of writing this). The long ridges are great for an initial sweep up of any carpet you’re working on and will grab the bigger debris. The little nubs work great for pulling out any short stubborn hairs left behind. The diamond shape is great for getting into tight areas between the seat/seatback or anywhere you have a tight fit. If you like to stripe your carpet afterwards you can do that as well. Also, unlike some other tools, it’s easy to use as far as not having to put a lot of pressure on it. Cleaning it is easy as well, because of the material, all you have to do is give it a quick rinse or blow it off with an air gun. Overall, I’m very happy with another solid tool from Viking Car Care.

Perfect for coarse straight pet hair

If you have a dog with that straight hair that gets stuck in fabric this is great tool. I have a cattle dog that leaves fur on my couch and in her dog bed, because of the type of fabric it’s difficult to remove and doesn’t fully come out in the wash either. The chom chom can’t get it out and I’m usually forced to use a sticky lint remover, which feels wasteful. I’ve also tried another ridged tool but also didn’t do much for this type of hair.
Viking got it right with the silicone for this tool, it pulls the hair out and I’m able to collect it. I was battling with some static the day I took these pictures but it made a big difference and was easy to use. It was also faster than going through layer and layer of sticky lint roller tape. The tool is a good size to handle and cover enough area. The silicone is thick and durable, I see this tool lasting a long time. Also for $10 it’s worth it, especially if you’re struggling with this type of pet hair. For the price it’s worth a try! The pictures I took are of my dogs bed which is made of a tightly woven fabric, I’ve also used it on a couch that has a similar weave, it’s considered a linen I believe, and also worked wonderfully. This tool is doing the work the vacuum and other tools cannot, great value overall.

Good tool to have for quick cleaning

This thing is really nice and feels solid. This thing will not collect the hair itself, instead what it does is make the hair and other things collect into a thin roll of dust like what you would find when cleaning dusting area, then you can pick it up or vacuum it away.
Moving it across fabric with some force, lets you see how much hidden hair or refuse is on carpets, couches, etc. It's not a super big piece and it will take a lot of effort to get this to go through a sizeable couch or rug or large car seats, but it definitely works well.
Some instructions would be nice to understand which side is recommended for what, and also if there's something to know regarding strength to use to prevent pulling out actual fabric.

Works OK, but may be redundant.

If you already have tools such as a good vacuum, tornador, and other car detailing tools this may be an unnecessary addition to your cleaning kit.

It’s not horrible for removing pet hair, etc. but if I was a car detailer, I would not want to rely on this tool alone to get the job done.

You will still most likely need to vacuum, etc., before using it. You might find it useful for striping but again if you are a detailer, you probably already have tools for that.

So I wouldn’t say it’s worthless but I doubt any detailer would fall in love with it.

I hope this helps. Thanks for reading.

Loosens Hair from Vehicle Carpet

I am not a professional Detailer. If you are, you may be able to get a better result than I did. I have a dog and like many, have trouble trying to vacuum the hair out of my vehicle. I wanted to try and see if this would help. It has a good shape - that one corner does allow it to get into tighter spots and it is a hard bar, no flex to it.
Maybe it's my lack of skill but I could not get this to pick up much hair. It does loosen it. The video is after a little back-and-forth. Very little hair and it doesn't stay in, it just falls back onto the carpet. Maybe it's a two-step process, use this to loosen then vacuum up the hair? I'm too lazy for that or maybe don't have enough embedded dog hair to go to that much trouble. It does make nice vacuum like marks in the carpet. I can see this being useful to loosen a LOT of hair and to make the carpet look nice after the loosened hair is vacuumed up. It's possible that I had unrealistic expectations for this product and a complete lack of detailing skill.

Definitely surprisingly effective

This pet hair removal tool honestly surprised me. It picked up way more debris and hair than I expected and did a great job loosening everything embedded in the carpet. It’s especially satisfying to use on areas that look clean but clearly aren’t once you start using it. Simple, effective, and definitely earns a spot in my cleaning routine.

fits in hand nicely

wasn't expecting such a stiff brush. the nubs and grooves are flexible silicone, but the unit itself does not flex very much. that works to its advantage as it makes it easier to scrape on rugs or seats to gather up pet hair

Does an excellent job of scraping off hair from carpet

I have a dog that sheds heavily and the dog hairs that get ground into the carpet, both in the car and in the rugs in our home are one of the biggest challenges of being a dog owner for me. This hair remover actually does the job in a surprisingly comfortable design. I have tried several other hair removers, the paddles are usually my favorite but the straight edges on this remover do better than pretty much any other remover I have tried of just getting off the hairs. For the ones that are specially ground in I use the dot ridges to kind of grind them out and then I follow it up with the straight ones as it seems to catch and move the hairs on the surface better. Overall pretty happy with this and will be using it often.

Amazing tool

I was skeptical of this product at first because I have a corgi and he sheds EVERYWHERE. My car is no exception and it feels like a nightmare trying to clean up. This hair removal tool has saved my life. Anything I can’t get with the vacuum I use this.

Works pretty well

This works, but I've got a different one that works a little better. Not to say this is bad, because it does work to remove hair from the furniture. This one takes a little more brushing to get the job done than I'm used to. But at the end of the day, it does get the job done, so definitely deserving of 4 stars. I'd give it 4.5 if I could.

Quick and Effective Pet Hair Removal

I’ve been using the VIKING Pet Hair Remover around the house and in my car, and it works surprisingly well. The silicone brush picks up dog and cat hair from carpets, upholstery, and car seats with minimal effort. It’s reusable, easy to clean, and doesn’t lose its effectiveness over time.

The size is perfect for maneuvering into corners and tight spaces, and it feels comfortable in hand during use. I’ve used it on multiple surfaces, and it doesn’t damage fabric or scratch hard surfaces. It makes cleaning up pet hair much faster than lint rollers or vacuum attachments.

Overall, this is a simple, well-made, and highly effective tool for anyone with pets. I’m very satisfied with it and would definitely recommend it for home or car use.

Stiffer than expected, but not in a bad way

I think it works well, but my dog's hair is longer, so it might not work the same with shorter hair. My dog does not shed a lot, but hair can build up even from non shedding dogs. This was able to grab the hair in my case. It also makes those stripe patterns on carpets if you are using it in the car. I think it's useful just to have it near the sofa to grab it quickly, rather than getting out the vacuum. I think it's probably also useful for the car as intended though.

I use it on my car's carpet. Not bad but I wouldn't use it as my in home daily.

It's alright for my car. Lifts some of the dog hairs off of my carpet so not terrible. I wouldn't expect to use that as my go to in the home as it's not too effective on the couch and not versatile enough. It fits in my car and helps in between vacuums. It does clean off easily. Holds up nicely so far.
