This applicator with short, soft but firm bristles is well aligned to apply tire shine without smearing around because it can distribute very smoothly and evenly along the curved lines of the tire and the rim border. I did not spend much time on each tire because this applicator can cover enough product with no need to re-apply many times or correct over runs. When I finished, I only wiped it off lightly with a towel and it was clean again, Also It can be stored in its holder either horizontal or vertical inserting it on the straight stick preventing possible staining the shelf or other car wash supplies.

This brush works really well for applying tire dressing evenly, especially on tires with lots of lettering and grooves. The bristles are very soft but dense, so they spread product smoothly without flinging it everywhere, and they actually get into the sipes instead of skipping over them. I end up using less product and getting better coverage in fewer passes. The size feels just right in the hand, and the stand is a nice touch to keep the bristles off the ground between uses. If you’re tired of foam pads or messy spray-on shine, this is a solid upgrade.

​This has quickly become my favorite tire dressing applicator. I had previously been using a smaller round brush with bristles, but it was just too small to get good coverage efficiently, and the little handle was awkward to hold for any length of time.

Really great design by Viking for making this easy to use. Love the stand design where you slide the brush on it. This means your hands will stay clean and the brush won't make a mess jangling all over your cabinet. The plastic is very thick and durable and the bristles are dense and soft which is perfect for getting into those tire sidewalls. This worked flawlessly with some water based dressing and is a great value for clean hands and perfectly dressed tires.

Great compact size. Very soft brush great for applying tire gel. Very easy to hold and easy to use either direction on the tire. The storage stand is convenient and keeps the gel from the inconvenience of dripping all over the place. Material has great durability, makes cleaning the tires easy, great value for the price. This is an excellent tire dressing applicator. The packing it came in is good and it contains the base that holds the applicator brush and the brush itself.

The brush is made of plastic and the Brussels are an ULTRA soft material. Much softer than your typical boar hair brush. However, it still firm enough to hold it shape and do its job as an applicator brush.

The brush has a hole in it that directly mounts to the base/stand. It’s a very compact and neat system.

I like the fact that it is wide enough to do a good portion of the sidewall on my rx350’s tire (235/55/20). Where it really shines is the small bristles are fine enough to get into hard to coat places such as the small lines on my Michelin tires. They are able to coat between the channels of those lines very easily. I spray some Perl 1:2 onto the applicator and apply it to the tire with light pressure. This unit is very simple to use and the fine bristles seem very durable. It is also very easy to evenly coat the tire without excess tire shine.

Overall, I highly recommend it.

I've been hunting for a good applicator for tire shine to add to my stash of car care products. When I first received this, it seemed a bit small for the job at 3" long and 1" wide, but I actually appreciate it for finer detailing and it still makes quick work out of making your tires shine. The applicator is made up of a ton of fine, soft bristles, almost as if it were for body care instead of tires. These bristles do an excellent job of applying your shine product to all the little grooves found on your tires sidewall with minimal effort and no wasted product at all. In fact, I used so little shine and this stretched it so far, that this will end up saving me money in previously wasted product. That's already a big win. The brush seems durable and would outlast the foam pad type that can easily get damaged from rough tire surfaces. The brush comes with a little cover that inserts into the brush to let it hang and dry after washing it out. The handle is contoured and rubberized for good grip. Larger tires will take a few passes due to the smaller size, but this brush is great.

This is a nice tool to have when cleaning or detailing vehicles. I'm a car guy and have a Jeep, Audi TT roadster and (soon) a Porsche Boxster that I maintain myself and keep well detailed. One of the things that has always been a pain is applying wheel shine or protectant to the tires because the sprayers throw product all over the wheels and concrete and they're wasteful. I have used a cheap paint brush in the past to spread the protectorant around, but this is also a bit messy and not ideal. I ordered this brush and now that it's arrived I'm looking forward to using it (it's too cold outside to use this now). The bristles are soft and tightly packed (meaning good holding of product and smooth application) and it has a cool holder deasign, The brush slides onto a plastic post on the holder so that the bristle hange freely and don't touch anything after use. This not only prevents product from getting onto other items, but it also makes sure that the bristles aren't bent or damaged during storage. I'm going to use a piece of nano tape and attach this to the wall near where my other detailing supplies are at. This is worth ordering if you enjoy taking care of your vehicles.

When I first opened the box, I honestly thought this brush wasn’t going to work very well because the bristles are extremely soft. I figured it wouldn’t be firm enough to apply tire shine properly. I was completely wrong.

Once I started using it, I was impressed with how well it worked. The soft bristles were actually a big advantage because they easily got in between the lettering and all the raised areas on the tire. That alone is a huge plus for me since I don’t have to switch brushes anymore just to get into those spots. It applies the tire shine evenly and covers a large portion of the tire at the same time, which saves a lot of time.

The size feels comfortable in the hand, and it’s easy to control whether you’re working on regular or lower-profile tires. The stand is also a nice touch and keeps things organized when it’s not being used.

Cons:
If I had to point out anything, it would be that because the bristles are so soft, you may need to add a little more product if you like a very heavy shine. Other than that, I really don’t have any complaints.

Is it worth the price?
Yes, definitely. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, makes tire dressing quicker and easier, and replaces the need for multiple brushes.

I am a detailing supplies junkie, and therefore I am always on the lookout for new products. I just acquired a new tire dressing to try, and I have been wanting to try an application brush instead of the various other applicators I have. Since it’s wise to not use more than one type of tire dressing on one applicator to keep them separate, I was on the lookout for a brush. There are various styles and sizes available, but when I ran across this brush while searching here on Amazon, it’s size and description intrigued me. The only issue would be how stiff the bristles would be. I took the chance and ordered it

My concern was that despite the description, the bristles would not be soft. I can say they are incredibly soft, but so densely packed as to make it as almost as if a one-piece applicator. They have some give as a whole, so they will follow the curve of the tire, and can individually move over lettering, etc., but mostly work as a whole to easily cover the entire sidewall with each swipe

I have 245/45R20 tires and this brush is almost perfect to fit this sidewall. It is able to get into the area between the wheel rim and the tire, and can get the outer shoulder with the give in it’s design. It is easily put back on its stand with one hand if needed, and nothing will touch the bristles once it’s on the stand

This is my new favorite Tire Dressing Applicator. I’m glad I tried it with my new dressing as both will be my go-to combination. For the Quality of the brushes Construction, the Design, the Soft, Dense Bristles and the almost Perfect Size I am giving it 5 stars. My only unknown is what it’s longevity will be like

This applicator is really nice to have. It’s got fine and soft bristles and a handle to easy application. Looks and feel high quality. I enjoy the fact that it’s in a “case” to prevent oil from getting anywhere after use. It’s nice and compact which is great because it saves me space for all the other car detailing stuff I have.

Nice quality brush, soft rubber grip, super dense soft bristles with just the right combination of firmness.
The stand is a great feature to keep the bristles free of contact and contain any coating, and easy enough to drill some mounting holes to more permanently fix it to my detailing bucket.
